mary was engaged to be married to joseph, a carpenter, but before they came together, she was found to be with child. because joseph, her husband, was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

The younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or fireplace , so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in. On Christmas morning, the children wake up very early. How to celebrate it?Let me introduce you the customs and traditional activites in the following time.The night of December twenty-forth is called Christmas Eve.On Christmas,people don't go to work and children don't go to school.Before the day comes,people must prepare for Christmas trees,Christmas lights,Christmas cards.On Christmas eve, we know an traditional activity called carolling.They sing many Christmas carols .Before go to sleep,the children hang a stocking at the end of their beds for Santa's presents.And they often wake up early in the Christmas day to check the presents.Then the family will have a big Christmas dinner.

In the Western, each family need to prepare a Christmas tree to enhance the festive atmosphere. Christmas tree is generally made with evergreen such as cypress It is a symbol of life forever. Christmas tree often decorated with a variety of candles, flowers, toys, stars and all kinds of Christmas gifts. On Christmas Eve, people around the Christmas tree are singing and dancing.

On Christmas Eve, Christmas caroling has become an indispensable program. The team is made up of about twenty young people, plus a little girl who dressed as an angel and a Santa Claus.When they went to a family,they will sing some familiar Christmas carols like "Silent Night", "Jingle Bells" and so on,The songs mostly is about the birth of Jesus.Then all of people prayed together and Santa Claus will deliver the Christmas gifts.The activity continue until about four o'clock the next morning.

Although everyone enjoys Christmas Day,it is particularly enjoyed by children,who get very excited because of the presents. It is said that there was a kind old man whose name was Saint Nicholas. He often helped the poor and gave presents to them. Today, Santa Claus is an imaginary figure, but nearly all children believe in him. They think he is a happy old man with a long white beard and a long red robe.Another name for Santa Claus is Father Christmas.

People always wake up early. in the Christmas morning Some people may go to a Christmas morning church service .But most people will just watch the special Christmas programmes TV or play party games but the mothers will be in the kitchen preparing Christmas Dinner.

They had prepared different kinds of gifts for their family and guests when we got to their house, such as Christmas candles, cakes, cards, little toys, biscuits and so on. A Christmas tree was placed in the comer of the brilliant hall. How beautiful it was! We were impressed by these. We had a big meal. After dinner, they told us some interesting stories about Christmas. We learned that Christmas had something to do with God. We went to bed at midnight. Though we knew the Santa Claus was not true, we were still waiting for the Santa Claus with white beard to bring us presents.And we received many beautiful presents the next morning.

This Christmas was really unforgettable. Not only did I have a good time, but also I knew something about foreign culture.

美好的圣誕節(jié)

圣誕節(jié)那天，我迫不及待地找圣誕老人送給我的禮物，因?yàn)槲遗瓮@一天盼了好久。

原來，圣誕老人送了我上海世博會(huì)的吉祥物——海寶和“陽(yáng)光姐姐”伍美珍寫的《青蛙王子副班長(zhǎng)》、《我的同桌是班長(zhǎng)》、《藍(lán)天下的課桌》等。

我最喜歡的是海寶。海寶全身都是天藍(lán)，像披著一件藍(lán)色的上衣。它的左手朝上，右手朝下。我喜歡它不在于外表美麗，還因?yàn)槲遗c媽媽吵完架非常生氣，聽了海寶的音樂才不生氣了。

這真是個(gè)美好的圣誕節(jié)！

匆匆地送走了碩果累累的秋天，匆匆地迎來了寒冷的冬天，同時(shí)也迎來了一年一度的圣誕節(jié)。我把自己精心打扮了一番，便早早的出了門。今天我們學(xué)校舉行圣誕晚會(huì)，我負(fù)責(zé)布置現(xiàn)場(chǎng)。

我走在大街上，天格外寒冷，走在凍得堅(jiān)硬的馬路，我的腳早已凍僵，我不停地朝手里哈熱氣，不停地搓著兩只發(fā)紅的小手，可仍然不怎么暖和。但寒冷的天氣絲毫也擋不住圣誕節(jié)快樂的腳步。大街上每個(gè)角落都洋溢在節(jié)日的歡樂中。各個(gè)商店的門前都擺上了美麗的圣誕樹，可愛的霓虹彩燈掛在樹上，調(diào)皮地眨著眼睛，快樂的閃爍著。超市門前迎接客人的員工也換上了圣誕老人的服裝，白花花的胡子滑稽地掛在下巴上，可愛極了。甚至有些店面還掛起了玲瓏小巧的鈴鐺和燈籠，寒風(fēng)拂過，發(fā)出“零零嘩嘩”的聲音，構(gòu)成了一章圣誕交鳴曲。寒風(fēng)輕輕滑過我的臉頰，我感到一絲絲異常的溫暖。

我快馬加鞭，終于到了學(xué)校。下午，我們?cè)诤诎迳袭嬌狭舜蠛邮フQ老人，在窗戶上噴上了潔白的雪花，還在教室中央放上了一棵綴滿星星的圣誕樹……一切終于都辦妥當(dāng)了!

我焦急地等待著圣誕晚會(huì)地到來。時(shí)間艱澀的流動(dòng)著，像沙漏般墜入我急切的心房，終于熬到到晚上了。今天我會(huì)收到同學(xué)的什么禮物呢，會(huì)是誰(shuí)的呢?(自己做一件禮物放進(jìn)禮物袋，之后大家隨機(jī)拿禮物，自己還可以寫一張心愿卡，心愿卡上的內(nèi)容只要不是太過分，都能實(shí)現(xiàn)。)我的心愿是：收到一本已經(jīng)垂涎已久的童話書。看完了許多精彩的節(jié)目，圍著圣誕樹唱了圣誕歌，又吃了平安果(就是蘋果)，終于到了最后一個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)，也是我最期待的一個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)——在圣誕帽子里“摸”禮物。我按著順序，上去“摸”禮物，然后再拿自己的心愿禮物，我仔仔細(xì)細(xì)地在哪個(gè)巨大的圣誕帽里摸索著，挑了半天，摸中了一個(gè)黃色的盒子，一看那祝福語(yǔ)上字跡潦草的筆畫，就知道是我們班的“調(diào)皮蛋”——Kyler。盒子卻包裝得挺精致，里面的禮物是一雙圣誕玩具襪子和玩具圣誕樹，黃色的絲帶訴說著圣誕節(jié)的溫暖，這個(gè)人平時(shí)挺煩人的，經(jīng)常欺負(fù)人，搶別人的零食，可今天，我從內(nèi)心發(fā)覺，他非常的可愛。淚水不由得灌滿了眼眶，我跑出了門，再也忍不住，無聲地哭了起來，手里抱著同學(xué)送我的禮物，在我的眼里，這個(gè)禮盒里的早已不是禮物，而是愛。我想我會(huì)好好保存這份愛的。

在這個(gè)溫暖的冬天里，我度過了一個(gè)神秘的圣誕節(jié)，收到了一份神秘的、特別的圣誕禮物!
